Job Description

Do you want to contribute to legal certainty, quality, and good service in the work of social services? We are now looking for a careful and structured administrator for a parental leave vacancy in the Business Support Unit within Work and Welfare. The position is a fixed-term contract running from November 2026 to August 2027.

As an administrator here, you work with document and business support, playing a key role in ensuring that social services information is handled correctly in accordance with current legislation. You will become part of a competent team working together to support the authority's operations.

Your main tasks include:

  • Administering new applications for financial assistance
  • Invoice processing
  • Administrative tasks related to operations, such as registering incoming documents
  • Simple paternity cases
  • Mail and fax handling

The work involves both collaboration and independent responsibility. You are expected to take initiative, handle multiple tasks in parallel, and adapt to the needs of the operations. The role involves contact with clients/parents in the work with new applications and paternity cases.

The work is governed by laws and regulations such as the Social Services Act (SoL), the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (OSL), the Archives Act, and the municipality's internal steering documents.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Education in administration.
  • At least 2 years of experience in administrative case processing.
  • Good computer skills and experience with digital systems, such as the Office package.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Education in social law.
  • Experience in social services work or public authority operations.
  • Experience working in the Lifecare system.
  • Experience working in a politically governed organization.

You are self-reliant and unpretentious, while also being able to adapt and prioritize between different tasks when needs change. The role also requires a service-oriented approach and enjoyment of collaborating with both internal and external contacts. Since documentation and communication are central parts of the job, you must have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Interviews will be held on August 17 and 18.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start: By agreement, end: 2027-08-31.
